Week 10 - DCL - Real World Problem Solving and Crowdsourcing & LDC - Entrepreneurialism and Crowdfunding

My notes from todays session:

Do we need tertiary education? Can people still get jobs without this level of education?

Market Share board game. Companies, resources required. I am really not that 'business' minded and economics is really not my thing, but my partner Amanda and I won, with a grand total of $41,900! My advice for the game is to buy buy buy customers, and don't take too many risks until you're rich, haha!

NZ Curriculum - Education for Enterprise (TKI)

Everyone has the ability to take a great idea and bring it to life. Currently there is a higher level of 12 year old entrepreneurs in the world than there are 18 year old entrepreneurs. Worm farms, bee hives, craft stalls etc.

(very) young entrepreneurs  - coders, app creators/developers, business planners.

Māori aspect on entrepreneurial opportunities - are we neglecting teaching entrepreneurship education skills to our Māori students? How does entrepreneurship fit in the Māori world view?
