What makes a good leader?

L - 'looks ahead', has a vision and sets goals.
E - effective communicator.
A - adaptable
D - delegates responsibility
E - evaluative
R - responsive to the needs of the group.
I took the Leadership Styles test (University of Kent) and I came out as being strong in Laissez Faire, Participative, and Procedural, and weak in Authoritarian.
It used to be though that people were BORN with leadership skills. But over time and though research, it was discovered that leadership skills can be ACQUIRED.
Transformational leadership is a good type of leadership for creating 'vision'.
